Anton Chigur Vs The Hitcher

The Hitcher is on Route 66 when he finds a briefcase in the back of one of the trucks he has aqquired.

Its full of cash and Ghigur's tracker is transmitting.

Its one psychopath against the other in a Texas showdown along the highways of Texas.

Ranges to be considered: Long, Med, short, Melee and H2h and Ambush styles.

Chigur and the Hitcher have any and all their used weapons from their respective movies.
Hitcher feats can be from either the Rutger Hauer film or the Sean Bean flick....

Re: Anton Chigur Vs The Hitcher

Chigur accomplishes his mission yet again.

Though my memory of the hitcher's feats is hazy, to be honest.

Awesome tracking skills, one-step ahead thinking (Like Chigur), brutally and coldly sociopathic. (like Chigur) Tracked Jim Halsey across the Midwest killing dozens of people, and is sadistic and methodical.
He tauts victims with severed fingers in their bowls of fries, frames them with authorities, Killed a police station full of cops with ease and likes setting the old the old moral choice deathtrap.

During one instance he tied Halsey's girl between a truck and the trailer and told Halsey to shoot him (Making him a murderer infront of armed cops) or see the girl ripped apart. Halsey took the silly high and mighty "Im not a murderer" morals crutch at that time and his girl was ripped apart before the eyes in our popcorn munching faces.

I think the hitcher. I doubt Chigur would be able to track him down. If he did, as Sadako said, come on.....the hitcher took out an entire police station. Also took out a chopper with a revolver. Not to mention escaping custody at the end and killing his escorts.

Fingers in the french fries!!! That part freaked me out because it showed he was RIGHT THERE IN THE ****ING RESTARAUNT.

Chigur is a freaking contract killer and psychopath all wrapped in one.

So what if Hitcher killed a bunch of cops. Chigur would gladly kill someone if they lost a coin toss.

I'd go with Chigur, seemed to be creepy and crazy imo.

I just remembered Chigur's fondness for escaping by handcuff-garrotting officers too.

Did you see The Hitcher, the Rutger Hauer version? Dude wasnt exactly stable. He was every bit as psycho as Chigur, probably even more so.

And being a contract killer doesnt necessarily make Chigur more ruthless or even a better killer, it just means he gets paid for it. The Hitcher does it because he ENJOYS it, not for money.

Forget the part in The Hitcher where he kills the family in the station wagon?

And yes, The Hitcher killed an entire station of ARMED cops. Tell me when Chigur did something like that.

Yes, I've seen the original Hitcher, didn't bother with the remake because it looked like shit.

If you think Chigur doesn't enjoy killing people then go back and watch No Country For Old Men. He clearly smiles while killing the deputy and smiles again when he kills the man he pulls over with that bolt/air compressor deal.(I forget the name of it) If he had killed the gas station clerk then he probably would have enjoyed that too since it was obvious he liked f*cking with him.

The Hitcher probably has an up on Chigur there, but I don't think Chigur would hesitate to kill a family if it meant completing his objective.

He didnt. But he does kill Mexican drug runners and other various people who are more well armed then a bunch of cops. How many cops were in the station anyway? I can't remember but I don't think it was a highly populated station.

Hitcher might be more psychotic but I still think Chigur takes this fight.

Yes that look as Chigur was strangling that cop was almost sexual.

Whats the most Chigur kills in one sitting?

Another thing to consider. If a dumb ass cowboy can find Chigur's transmitter, surely the Hitcher would figure it out too.

Yeah but Chigur is a fine tracker.
But in the interests of there being a thread, it is assumed that Hitcher doesn't.

But lets indulge this: Without trackers who is the better hunter/tracker...?

Hitcher. No contest. He always knew where Ponyboy was and what he was doing, and Ponyboy didnt even know it.

True dat.

Great one step ahead thinking exhibited.

Both men do that, almost seeming supernaturally so in Hitcher's case.

The amount of people both killed shouldn't factor into who is better.

Dumb-ass cowboy? Llewelyn Moss was an ex-special forces, Vietnam veteran. Special Forces guys aren't known for being idiots.

Even without the tracker Chigur was still able to hunt Moss. Plus, the tracker wasn't even Chigur's, it was in the satchel before Chigur was ever hired to track down Moss.

Indeed. Dude the restaraunt scene. How did he know Ponyboy would be there? AND sneak in undetected, under BOTH of their noses and put a finger in his fries?

Ponyboy is a little ***** though. Hence the name, Ponyboy. 😛

Excellent points, Roland.

Lets talk toughness. Who is tougher? Who can take more of a h2h beating?
