First panel of the second scan...
"And as I discovered some time ago, when I lift an object while I'm flying, there's something other than strength at work."
Missing the point...

I'm not talking about 'strength' per say.Break down strength. Force against another force.
Supes's physical strength was being calculated under the assumption that his strength was the cause for the planet moving, I was just correcting that inaccuracy.

I guess they should've drawn Superman as being stationary in space....and have him use the harness to pull the Earth towards himself.

Well that's all well and good, but I'm just talking about strength feats. It's not one... well, not a quantifiable one anyway. Yes it's impressive, but it doesn't equal being strong enough to move the planet.Supes's physical strength was being calculated under the assumption that his strength was the cause for the planet moving, I was just correcting that inaccuracy.
..........
It is one. He used his strength/force via another medium(flight) to move something.

Force doesn't=Strength. Just because he can drag the planet behind him using his flight doesn't mean that he could bench press his weight. He flat out stated that there was something other than strength at work, so it's not a feat of pure physical strength.
Holy god, your insane. 😱
The Earth’s mass is 5.9736×10^24 kg.
( 5,973,600,000,000,000,000,000,000 kilograms)
That equals 6.5847X 10^21 US tons.
(6,584,700,000,000,000,000,000 US tons)
In other words...a little over 6.5 sextillion tons. IIRC, Composite Superman was only listed as being able to lift in the range of a Quintillion tons? If so...that's far less than 6.5 sextillion.

Sooo what you're saying is that since Superman's ability to fly has been shown to generate a lot of force, this somehow converts to him being stronger in combat?
You kinda lost yourself there...

You lost yourself when you decided to respond...
Generate force? Stronger in combat? Never said any of those things.
Anyways it is quite simple.
Pushing, pulling, lifting... Either on the ground or in the air. it doesn't matter. Both are acts of strength.
Pressing 300lbs or pushing a car off to the side of the road are both acts of strength.
Pulling a planet is an act of strength.
