Besides, they shouldn't be tolerating each other. To tolerate implies that they're putting up with each other, and we shouldn't be putting up with each other, but coexisting.

In reality though both genders fail at 'tolerating' each other.

Men better tolerate Woman.

Gender to Gender, we tolerate eachother about the same.

Males, most often for sex and 'love'.
Females, most often for security, pressure, and 'love'.

It's impossible to say which tolerates each better. To say so, it would be sexist. I refuse to cross that line.., women hate me enough. -smirks-

Im guessing men will say a man tolerates better and women will say a woman tolerates better...then there are some of us that just try and get along..lol..Ive been married many years it goes both ways..except for about a week ½ out of each month..(heard it gets worse during the start of menopause) then men have to get some credit for tolerance..lol..Im pretty sure even my wife would agree with that one.lol

According me , Woman have good potential but they can't take it for longer time. Whereas men are having better temperament then woman, They are successful in handling the situation in most of the cases. Very few woman do posses such qualities.

yeah they can last a few weeks at most then they have to fly off...most women I know will admit that...though most women I know hate my wife for telling the secrets..lol..(dont hate her they just laugh and say I hate her when I bust em for bs ing) I have to say though it takes its toll on a man and eventually we fly off too...and the stress level it causes men is not healthy..women internally are built tougher..(squeeze out a youngin then argue with me guys) but we hold it in and dont get the excuse to fly off every month...we are suppose to hold it together right? Im way more mentally tough than any woman Ive ever known...even the ones who fake it in public if you know them as a friend you know they are as wrecked as the rest and have NO tolerance for men..lol..chics hate us dudes quite often in their life..lol..

Depends on the situation and the man or women, now doesn't it? It also depends on which culture the man or women is from. Columbia ladies can be quite the hot heads, from my experience. (It escapes me...but there is a people that elludes me at the moment...but the women are ultra submissive to men and it is hilarials. I know there's multiple...but there is one in particular that I'm thinking of.)

Did you ever think that that was a function of cultural conditioning rather than an something they are programmed by a set of genes to do?

Very generally speaking, my feeling is men do tend to tolerate women better than women tolerate men. While women can be more compassionate, they don't always exercise it. If in a relationship especially, many women have a "Now I can change him" agenda, whereas with most men...as long as certain "basics" are met, we're not so nit-picky. Men also don't have monthly visitors...and we do have to contend with our biological imperative, which at times grants us seemingly godlike tolerance if we're to have a chance of seeing it through.

Not into political correct answers so.

Women tolerate men better.

Burping, farting, getting drunk, fighting to name a few things which are difficult to tolerate.

Women on the other hand are just moody and waffle too much, seeing as men tend to ignore them when they are annoying its not such a problem.

Both men and women can be terrible, so i think in cases where we have to tolerate each other, it's around equal...

one thing i would say, though, is i'd like to humbly request that women learn to apologise. not apologise more, just in general. seriously, it's like trying to get blood from a stone.

now, i know there are exceptions, which is fine. there are some wonderfully understanding women out there. for the rest of them, though. yes, sometimes you do screw up, and it would be nice, for once, to actually have you acknowledge that.

if you are a woman who understands and does realise when she's done wrong, as human beings are wont to do, then disregard what i just said.

2. No male is allowed to know the rules.
3. If the Female ever suspects that the male knows some or all of the rules, she can change them.
4. The Female is never wrong.
5. If the Female ever appears to be wrong, it is due to a misunderstanding by the male.
6. The Female may change her mind at any time.
7. The male may never change his mind without written consent from the Female.
8. The Female may become angry or upset at any time.
9. If rules 5 or 8 apply, the male must apologize.

Both are at different situations of the life, since I'm married and In my life I have seen situations which I felt that should be tolerated and also felt that She too tolerates me at different time's. so my answer is 50/50.
