Actually, it is, considering it's in response to a guy who basically wrote "lulz my little bruther getz ta see it and he'z yunger soo itz funni".
Seriously, either add something inquisitive or thematic to the thread, or step away from the keyboard.
My spelling was actually far better than that. I was wondering (perhaps too subtly) why you were prevented from seeing it by "THE MAN" when all you need to do is ask a parent to take you.

No, that's why I'm asking why you can't. I used to do it all the time here when I was younger. I can't imagine it being that hard.
I can't do that over here methinks.
For all big releases by local cinema have people standing by the stairs into the biggest screen, leading people to their seats when they get there.
Which is annoying. 'Specially as they only started doing it like a year and a half ago =/
Saw it last night in a packed theater (surprisingly full of fans of the novel)
I thought it was amazing. It showed a great respect for the source material, and aside from a few changes, was a near perfect adaptation.
My only real complaint was...
SPOILERS
How during Rorscach's story of how he lost faith in humanity, they changed how he dealt with the killer. I don't know why Synder thought having Rorscach kill the murderer with a meat cleaver to the head would make more sense than burning him alive. I hope that they fix this in the directors cut, because it was easily the biggest problem I had with the movie, since that scene is in my opinion the most powerful part of the entire series

I loved almost everything, but I've gotta agree with that. I wondered if Snyder removed it because he didn't want people trying to make connections between Watchmen and Saw?
They also extended the sex scene between Nite-Owl and Silk Spectre into infinity.

So I'd understand it to a tee. The comic is one of my favorite pieces of literature of all time.
You're just like the MPAA. You completely underestimate teenagers as if they're moronic, which is not always the case.
Yes, I'm in my mid-50's with grown kids and outdated values and I rate movies for political and economic reasons while giving large companies a pass in exchange for gifts and favors, that's definitely me. Grow up. I don't think a twelve year old knows who woodward and bernstein were or the political factors having to do with the nixon white house and the cold war.
anyway, no one else was bothered by the weird cut? Maybe the screening I went to had some kind of ****ed up print of the film? Sure would explain why we all got free movie passes without explanation.

I can see that, I mean, Saw's hardly the most popular movie in the world.
Also
HOLY SHIT, I JUST SAW WATCHMEN!!! OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!! WATCHMEN > DARK KNIGHT EASILY.
That's the most enthusiastic thing I've ever seen you post on KMC 😛

Yup.
I guess there could be other things too, maybe having the place crash wasn't brutal enough.

Probably is too.
Except maybe some Thor stuff.

Silk Spectre II's mom didn't look very old though. She looked like she was in her 40s or something.
Paul would've done her.

Mystery solved. AMC theaters ****ed up and screened the reels in the wrong order.
Here's what would have happened if Watchmen was turned into a late 80's/early 90's saturday morning cartoon- http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/485797
It wasn't a better movie than Dark Knight, to put that kind of talk aside. I'm not speaking as a fan or non-fan of either, but simply as an observation of the movie itself. The excessive amounts of backstory it needed to cover made for a sometimes-jilted story and it had a decidedly slow pace, which wasn't nearly as tightly plotted and executed as Dark Knight (which was about the same length but had a much swifter tempo).
Personally, I love it. The above opinion is simply an observation of the movie's conventions. Few, if any, unbiased observers would give it such a nod over the Batman film. Aesthetics will vary based on the viewer or audience, as well as the subject material, but with enough movies it is possible to detect discernible patterns, as well as detecting those which are likely to receive critical and technical acclaim.
It was, however, remarkably consistent with the tone, depiction, and plot of the graphic novel, which both retains its power while placating the purists. Expect detractors to come only from those who either didn't like the subject material to begin with, or remain so married to the original work than any attempt to recreate it is blasphemy in their eyes.
P.S. A hearty "lol" to those who puff up their own maturity, then rant excessively about not being able to see a movie on opening night. I envy that kind of inability to view oneself from a detached perspective. But I also hope you do get to see the film. The MPAA doesn't work at all, and is basically unecessary, imo.

Hey, you said it, not me.
Grow up.
That's acting your age.
I don't think a twelve year old knows who woodward and bernstein were or the political factors having to do with the nixon white house and the cold war.
Except, you know, I'm 17, and I do know who Woodward and Bernstein were, and I do understand what the political factors were during the Cold War. In that case, you have no clue what you're talking about. What makes you think 12 is the age group I was speaking of?
