Not in all cases. Books, games, etc.
Clone Wars was for the kids, this cant be questioned(that's why I don't demand such great things like others do.) But I truly feel that the Live-Action show will appeal(or atleast make an effort) to the older crowd with a few more mature themes. And since this is the first Live-Action television series and cant be compared with what ever has come before(since lets be honest, the fact that this was a cartoon did turn off a lot of Star Wars fans). Then no, I wouldn't say history is against me, Id say it hasn't been written yet.

Those aren't done by Lucas. They're not his pet projects like this series would be.
What other live action Star Wars has there been?....oh right, 6 feature films. You're saying we cant compare that?! lol. The last 3 in the last decade demonstrate what Lucas is doing now and how he conceives Star Wars. If you think the Prequels were made for "the older crowd with a few more mature themes" then I guess I cant argue with your logic. If Lucas makes his movies geared towards kids, why would a live action TV series be any different?

Not really. The Gendy Clone Wars series was a cartoon and a lot of people loved that. It was good. Fans were turned of by The Filoni series because its more geared for 5 year-olds than any demographic say someone over 20 could relate to. Its an issue of quality, not media.

You should inform your history-writing self that history hasn't been written.

guys, i just heard that the show has been officially scrapped.
Where did you hear this from? I see no news about that, and that would be big news in the Star Wars community.
TheForce.Net just did an interview with the concept artist of the live action show. IMDB hasn't been updated either.
