The Anime Versus Social/Off Topic thread

26 episodes. I really like the pace. It starts off easing you into the setting, introducing the elements of space travel and Marika into a command position. It knows that you have to build up to something instead of going for constant craziness. I appreciate the level of quality the show has.

I'll check it out next then. Been looking for stuff to watch after I finish Nightraid 1931

Good call. I only hope it doesn't fall short of my gushing.

It doesn't help that I previously tried to watch Noein, and couldn't get through the crappy pacing and ANGST-explosion that Yuu was. Having a series thats unabashedly fun, quirky and surprisingly intelligent was a fantastic bit of whiplash. It's MLP all over again.

Also thinking of watching Rosario + Vampire. Seen it?

No. It looks like a harem show with panty shots galore. I don't watch those. ¬_¬

I'm not particularly into panty shots but I'm not opposed to them just something that doesn't matter either way to me unless it's in an uber serious anime. Harem, I like.

I'm generally ambivalent to romance of any kind unless its lesbian.

I'm a hopeless romantic, so romance in all its forms is just great to me

I've seen it. It's like Negima only the main charactar doesn't become an awesome badass and there's no Jack Rakan character in it. Plus unlike other harems, the main character is really only after one girl while the rest just can't take a hint. Oh and they're are bounc boobsnd panty shots.

Psychic Detective Yakumo

Thoughts from anyone whose seen the above?

Shut up BloodRain.

Someone wants my attention..

But thoughts on those animes are all I fekkin' want. >c

Never even heard of them.

I'm starting Shingu: Secret of the Stellar Wars today. Apparently its directed by the same guy who did Bodacious Space Pirates (the translation for Morestsu Pirates apparently), so it should be good.

Has anyone seen The Twelve Kingdoms? The first few episodes were amazing, but then it turned into shit, I dropped it at episode eleven. Does anyone know if it gets better?

Just finished Shingu: Secret of the Stellar Wars. It's er..... a very strange series. Its incredibly relaxed and laid 8ack, a lot of the time is spent with the main cast of high school kids, as they pretty much just have fun and go to school together. 8ut at the same time they need to defend the earth from alien invaders. And most of them just shrug it off and prepare for the culture festival.

It's very interesting tonally. The series depicts humanity as on the cusp of moving into a 8igger pond. The fact that everyone is so calm about matters of planetary annihilation and interplanetary relations is I think meant to show our maturity as a race. We're almost ready to evolve. It's quite refreshing and optimistic. I am a 8it pissed that they never explain just what the **** Muryo is though.

So consider this another recommendation from me, in what is quickly becoming a 8it of a 8log on anime. Sorry if my thoughts aren't welcome, haha.

Also there are a few characters who could solo D8Z by the end. Shit gets completely snookaloo crazy.

For shame.

Argh, this typing quirk is hard to adjust too!

I might go 8ack to Nepeta. mmm

Oh, and Shingu is made by the same guy who did Bodacious Space Pirates. Next I will be looking at another of his works, Rinne no Lagrange.

First episode: Main character suplex's a giant robot.

And I thought 4Kids' censorship was ridiculous.
