Chrome is just as fast as firefox, has a smaller footprint, has about 4 or 5 updates a day, has multiple built in site search functions. The only thing it lacks is plugin extensions but googles adding those 🙂

To me it seems faster. Subjectively.

I mean, I love Firefox, and the plug-ins are awesome. But Google is just swift and neat.

Not faster if it totally crashes your machine every 20 minutes like it did to mine.

Uninstalled it and viola, no more crashes.

I can REALLY recommend the new UBUNTU 8.10 OS which uses Firefox.

Only two problems, not many games and WlAN configuration is a nightmare.

I've been using Firefox for several years now, but lately I've come to prefer Chrome. While I don't think it's notably faster/slower, I like the sleek layout and easy google search/arrangeable tabs.

The -only- complaint so far is that if you try to copy your post, it will be nothing more than a blob of text when pasted, it'll completely remove your line jumps, etc. This is a bit annoying if you're writing a huge post and want to copy it into word. Still, it's only a minor annoyance.
