Only two problems, not many games and WlAN configuration is a nightmare.

Was using Ubuntu 8.10 on my shitbox laptop, switched over to Fedora 10, read it had a higher rating in the Linux world.

I do like it, but I don't see much of a difference, as they both use GNOME, I'm also a fairly new Unix user though. You might want to try it for yourself.

I use Firefox and am quite happy with it, but if Google continues to make improvements to Chrome, I'll probably switch.

I have a virtual machine running with a few linux distributions, but nowadays I mostly use Windows, out of laziness...

I still use all three but I use them pretty much like this:

60% of the time: Chrome - super fast and simplistic which I like

35% of the time: Firefox

5% of the time: IE

Which ones in VM?

I have Ubuntu 8.10 running on my shit-box laptop with DSL and WinXP as VMs. I'm thinking of trying to install VirtualBox on the WinXP VM and then running Puppy (or other micro Linux OS) as a VM inside a VM, just for shits-n-giggles.

I got DSL, Puppy and Ubuntu 8.10 on VM. Only use Ubuntu though, and not frequently, really.

There much of a difference between DSL and Puppy?

Installing Linux Mint with XFCE, as I want to try that desktop environment. Also going to get a [hacked] PC version of Mac OS X to play with, as I'm Mac illiterate.

Can you PM me where you get a Mac version?

Though, that's nonsense, IE is extremely weak. Sure it does the job. But not well. Adequate maybe.

The amount of possible customization is mind boggling. It has a magnitude of extremely useful features. It is very fast, reliable and especially safe. On the whole just a great browser with a large open developer community. It's also comparatively good at adhering to standards...

I mean, sure, Microsoft is trying to keep up, copying as much as they can, but really, Firefox is just better.

Reading a review online, it seems Microsoft "borrowed" from the new KDE GUI for their Windows 7. Be funny if it's true.

Trying OpenSUSE 11.1 now, not caring for it, seems Ubuntu is just better all around compared to the others.
