actually it works quite fine in a major part of the tribal population of the world, and has so, even better, in societies of the past {e.g. liberal socialism in akbar era subcontinent}. your referring to the generally perceived instances like russia/china, in which case it was a non liberal type of socialism, but more importantly, it was factors OTHER than socialism which were responsible for the misgivings. capitalism doesnt work though, in the long term, without stealing stuff from the world and misery inside the state.

Socialism only works in small, very limited societies, never in large complex ones.

Without incentive what's the point of trying to improve oneself?

I agree though that capitalism has to have it's limits. It works fine if people, institutions, and government aren't allowed to go into debt far beyond their means which is what we have now.

you give people the right of private ownership but dont give them the right to TRADE any private property. as such, all that you own, has to be EARNED through equal labour and not just gotten as a result of profits from trading which do nothing to add to the value of the thing and you get money without doing the work, liberal socialism.

LSD can change your mind, literally it can develop you into a new person, sometimes better,sometimes worse. i would suggest anyone who has not taken it to do so and find out for themselves,personally i like it and i support its use.

LSD can also make you do stupid things like try to climb out of a moving car because you think it's a pop can getting smashed by a giant (i freaked out). On the other hand i will say it's my favorite drug. But i can see why it's illegal. Of course i think alcohol is just as worse. People don't usually try to drive on acid, they do when shit faced drunk.

so is compassion/ampahty. if we encouraged that half as much as we encourage greed, this world wud be a lot better.
