Edit; my point about heat conduction stands, you can only conduct heat into matter so fast, prolonged contact is necessary for real life-threatening damage to occur.
You are making a general statement. The more focused the heat at the point of impact, and the hotter its temperature, the less time it would take to damage an object.

Its academic, really, since we have examples of Mega Man's blasts destroying titanium (yes, titanium this time) as well as more durable materials.

Which would require a combination of heat to make the metal malleable, and titanium heats much easier than steel, and cuncussive force.

Fact is in real life science that heat cunducts through matter at a given rate depending on the type of matter, this is why men can walk on hot coals without damage to their feet. Take it from a guy who has his bare skin exposed to chemical flame for over a second.

Staying on topic, based on the fact that Mega Man has destroyed titanium and other more durable materials, Pac-Man (not displaying the durability of titanium) would not be in healthy shape when shot by the Mega Buster.

The Pacster is still a VG legend, however and deserves respect.
