Wasnt he banned a few times and close to a perm ban? Hes not a great choice and I am sure most of the people will agree. It will be the same as putting Cav9 or Quan as a mod.
As for Guy, hes a great guy and very nice but thats the thing he might be too nice for a mod. Its in his nature to be a nice great guy.

I've suggested a few names for mod consideration, as well as bounced a few ideas off of everyone that people have come up with for regulating the forums in a better manner. As of now, the official plan is still to close the forum in the near future. The suggestions are simply an attempt to stave off that eventuality. But I don't want to plant false hope, so take it for what it is: a possible solution, but not an approved course of action as of right now.
Among the names mentioned or nominated in here (delph, guy, leo, Starscream, etc.) I've passed along some of them, as well as a few others. Thanks for the suggestions.
I assume this is a joke.
i appreciate the votes of confidence from those couple who mentioned me. i don't think i'm on enough currently though, nor do i know enough about what the position entails and just how much power it offers. (though i'm not sure how i'm another digi, bw--but since i like digi, and respect him, i guess that's a good thing . . .?) can a mod--any mod--REALLY be the answer to the forums issues?
imo, digi and bada have been good and fair mods but the problems persist. have they increased? beats me. there has always been the issue of trolling and flaming. has there been a noticeable increase in the last few months? not in the threads i follow, but maybe in other threads?
as far as names--i actually don't think starscream would be a bad choice at all. we've had a couple differences, but he's intelligent and for the most part stays level-headed. another choice might be smurph. he's another bright guy. if he could keep his cool i think he could do a good job. he also has the benefit of knowing what it's like to be on the wrong side of a moderator's rulings and that might (pun utterly intended) moderate his reactions. 🙂

This is a decent solution to ensure that people can actually debate when they choose to chip in with their opinions. Give posts a minimum amount of words requirement, like they do on some game faq review sections on some sites.
In short, they have to create a limit to how much you can report, post, and create topics.

Hmm even so, I have to say that I also think Smurph would be a really good choice IMO barring the not being on the forum very often thing.
