now, certainly, I'd put my money on norris in a fight...but to say it would be a shitstomp is unfair

yes thetre is evidences however to say one is better then the other.all evidences and I mean all points to Chuck Norris stomping Jet-Li. There no evidences to say other wises.
a smaller, weaker dancer vs a larger, stronger world little holder, who crazy amount of fights under his belt, who has both a strong stand up game and ground game.........not really hard to see who wins.
Originally posted by Battlehammerwhen the hell did jet-li become reduced to a backup dancer? he still trained for wushu which is akin to training for martial arts in many ways. he wasn't doing break dancing ya know?
No it not. Jet-Li dident train for fights, he trained for dancing pritty much. Chuck Norris trained in vast amounts of martial arts in order to fight. He battle tested and harden combatant. He not only knows more styles of stand up, but more effective ones that jet-li not to mention he has quite a seize advantage. Oh and unlike Jet-Li he ha sa very strong ground game

and you expect him not to get shit stompped by a world champanion fighter? Who has a lot of black belts in seperate styles. has lots of fights under his belt and who is an expert at jusistu.......meaning he stomps on li no matter were the fight goes.

Certainly he'd be able to appropriate some of the skills he's learned from Wushu into a real fight, but the fact of the matter is he isn't trained to fight. He's trained to compete. He's trained to entertain. He's an exhibitionist, not a fighter. Chuck Norris wasn't just a fighter, he was a world class champion, he was a record holder. Even if Jet Li was a trained combatant and competed in tournaments his whole life there would still be a more then good chance he couldn't beat Chuck Norris, because Chuck Norris was exceptional, he was MA of the year once, he is in the hall of fame. Give Jet Li the benefit of the doubt is absurd, it would be a kin to give the benefit of the doubt to any random black belt off the street.

jet li is one of the most physically gifted 'performers' there is...most black belts can't even dream of pulling his moves
also, norris competed under a certain set of rules...we don't know how well he'd fare under a no rules street fight against someone as fast and powerful as jet li

Choreograph a dance routine? Sure.

Prime Chuck is faster and more powerful than Li. Li might be more graceful, but he is a dancer after all.

Just so I’m clear, out of the two people involved in this thread, you want to give the benefit of the doubt to the one that was never a professional fighter?

Yet you also said
we don't know how well he'd fare under a no rules street fight against someone as fast and powerful as jet li
You seem to be implying that Chuck has never faced anyone with Jet's speed or power, yet since Jet has never been in any real fights, you have no idea how "powerful" his strikes would be.
Originally posted by Battlehammerok then since jet li is just a dancer how about a dance tournament between jet li and michael jackson. whou would win ?

Wushu is more that just dancing sure Chuck Norris is a better combatant but if he actually fought a real Wushu practitionor Chuck wouldn't even hit him fact 😐
No. If a style is combat effective it all comes down to the practitioner.
Anyone who thinks X always beats Y when it comes to martial arts is wrong.
