Agreed. Sonny's way too agile for that clanker. I think he could probably take him with maybe one saber, but if the general's quad wielding, then Sonny's circuits are good as slag.

The General slices and dices Sonny with the greatest of ease..

I don't think GG is getting enough credit here. He's killed many Jedi, which I cant see Sonny doing. Plus, the Grievous we seen in the film was injured, due to Mace's Force Crush, so he wasn't 100%. Personally, I gotta give this to GG easily. Sonny is good and all, but GG is out of his league IMO. If you havn't yet checked out the Clone Wars(cartoon), you should do so, just to get an idea of what GG can REALLY do.

Without Sabres, Sonny could get at GG's soft center and **** shit up.

Am i the only one who remembers that sonny has that outer skin that protected him form that ultimate force field. It did melt him a bit but he could get grievous even if he had his sabers.

If we can us the EU Grievous with sabers would win. Dude took on 4 Jedi Council members at once and pretty much won. Without though his heart's too vulnerable.

Good point and I agree, as that field sliced through metal as easily and quickly as a sabre.

Just what was the mechanics behind that forcefield, exactly? If it followed the same principles as a lightsaber (i.e. intense heat to slice through objects) then we could say Sonny would be durable. Even then, he still has a lot of wiring that just hangs loose outside of his shell.

It completely obliterated the other robot. Like it was a hot knife through butter. But yeah i bet someone will post the usual speech that makes light sabers out to be the ultimate weapon.

I know what the physical result on the robot was, but that doesn't tell me how it happened. Lightsabers are not end-all weapons, but they certainly are cool. 🙂

I would also like to point out to Rob that the robots weren't made of metal, it was some kind of plastic alloy or somehting.

Not at all. When Sonny first makes his apperance in the movie, Will Smith's character was able to shoot the wiring at Sonny's ankle. There was no protection whatsoever.
