Seriously though, I feel like one of the strong points of the prequels that Lucas doesn't get credit for is how he does actually portray the Jedi as very dogmatic, stubborn and caught up in bureaucracy and ritual. One of the reasons Sheev is so successful in his plan is because the Jedi council are so self-assured. Their hubris ultimately contributes to the downfall of democracy.

Yeah there were some high points. Ep 3 is actually a great movie if you skip every scene with Anakin and Padme that doesn't involve him choking her with his mind.
