Yeah, see, you seemed to have misread what I said, or something, because, well, you know, I didn't deny that GD have evolved somewhat, over the course of years. It's just that they haven't evolved significantly. Obviously American Idiot had a bit of a classic rock feel to it, and it might have had 8 minute songs, but it still was the uncomplicated rock one could expect from Green Day. As I said, they've evolved, but not that much more, if even more, than Oasis.

i mean even on their first album when they were like 18 they weren't just playing punk rock songs, theres rest and on kerplunk theres no one knows Green Day totally evolved with each album

I think American Idiot is truly sub-par for Green Day.

The band takes alot of pride in it, but I never was as interested in listening to it then dookie. It just seemed too Pop music and less the angsty stuff of their old music.

I remember when I listened to Kings of Leon before they were sexy young men, shaking their hips on stage with their shirts buttoned open so you can see their sweaty chests, singing about their sex being on fire.

As a matter of fact, I saw them at Paradiso in 2004, and they were just standing there as if they were a shoegaze revival band, with their beards disappearing into their shirts and not being sexy at all.
