Didn't watch, as I don't find Kimmel to be entertaining at all, no offense to the guy, his humor just doesn't gel with me.
But I am glad he's become 'America's Conscience' and I do applaud him when he shows the crippling hypocrisy Trumpers love to swim in, when I hear about it.

Indeed, and he deserves credit for being able to give a speech on gun control full of lies and misleading information. So it'd be all kinds of sad if this person was our conscience. You see the tears play an important part: they play to your emotions and hopefully will prevent you from actually fact checking anything he says.

If that guy is your country's conscience then I guess your country's conscience is fake as hell. Which, sadly – no offence to y'all Americans – doesn't surprise me.

Bingo, we're all doomed if this imbecile is our conscience. He's shed more tears for a dead lion than for all the people murdered in Chicago.
His tears wouldn't be so bad if they weren't intended to manipulate you into believing the bullshit he spews. I will admit it is the perfect manipulation because if you go onto youtube to the official video of his tearful monologue and read the comments...anyone saying Jimmy is wrong is immediately labeled as a Trumper who is only saying Jimmy is wrong because of Trump lol.
So his tears convince some folk not to fact check him, and have others insisting if you call out his bullshit you're a Trumper(and thus racist and sexist).
This country would be better off with a monkey with down syndrome as our conscience.

I saw his 'weeping' for Cecil the Lion – it's emotional manipulation, plain and simple. You can believe it if you like though, it's still fairly subjective, this is just my opinion.
what if he actually has a conscience and was moved by the topic?

^ This is EXACTLY what I was talking about above. Kimmel drops a tear, Trumpers flip the **** out.
Originally posted by RobtardThat's fair enough. I personally don't get that much of a kick out of seeing my political opponents flip out, because when they're flipping out it makes it harder to speak to them and try to understand their rationale and thus possibly change their opinion, or at least make them confront their own opinions and make sure that they really believe in them. Things are different in America though, it's all about point scoring from what I can tell. Not that it's that different in other countries, I imagine.
