Today I'm doing Curse of Strahd (vampires and shit) online with my old uni mates. I also have the group I DM for, which is with my London buddies. I'm just running the 5e starter campaign with them but leading up to my own homebrew shit after that
At times I wished I still played, been close to 20years now. Still have all my old books. All of 1st edition, a few 2nd and the basics for 3rd, iirc.
Originally posted by SurturI've really enjoyed the setting and lore so far, even if it has taken one of my characters from me. But such is the land of Ravenloft and Barovia. Rough as ****, even worse than Brixton back in the day.
Ravenloft is a neat setting. I've read the book "I, Strahd" and enjoy the Van Richten game guides.

Yo my boys just started Curse of Strahd but the session got cancelled tonight on account of a sick paladin.
Originally posted by RobtardHoly shit, that's impressive man. I bet some of those would go for some a pretty penny, but you probs wouldn't want to sell them. 5e is really good, it's built on the past editions whilst keeping it accessible

Not sure, doubt too much. The one that might be would be my first edition Deities & Demigods, as it's first print and contains the Cthulhu mythos, later printings had to remove it due to being sued by the H.P. Lovercraft Estate. Apparently TSR did not have permission and "borrowed" anyhow.
Have you ever played in the Dark Sun campaign setting? One I always wanted to.
