Rob did you DM or were you a party member?

Not sure, doubt too much. The one that might be would be my first edition Deities & Demigods, as it's first print and contains the Cthulhu mythos, later printings had to remove it due to being sued by the H.P. Lovercraft Estate. Apparently TSR did not have permission and "borrowed" anyhow.

Have you ever played in the Dark Sun campaign setting? One I always wanted to.

That sounds really cool. There have been some tabletop Lovecraft-styled games out since then I think, it's a great mythos to mix with D&D just due to the scale of the creatures you'd be fighting.

I haven't played Dark Sun, from what I can find it looks ****ing rad, though. I'm still pretty new to D&D, only been playing a year or so but I'm well into it already

Gonna make a KMC campaign about us all getting sucked into the GDF and rescue Raz.

I did both, depending. I prefer to play or DMing though.

I'd pay the shit out of this

I've gotta say I'm really really digging DM'ing, even after just three sessions I'm already feeling like it's my calling in the game. Can't wait to get into my homebrew stuff, I'm writing character 'loyalty missions' so that each of my players has a full mini-campaign centred around their character

i played some dungeons and dragons on intellivision as a kid. does that count?

We never really mixed in gods in our campaigning though, the book was more of a reference to pick a form of worship to better flesh out a character.

I've read several of the Dark Sun setting novels way back in the day, pretty good if you're into fantasy. It's definitely not a setting for the novice player or DM. I think it was built around 2nd ED rules, maybe 3rd, I forget.

I AM INTRIGUED BY THE CONCEPT OF LOYALTY MISSIONS PLEASE EXPLAIN.

Seems your Chaotic Neutral Elven Rogue might have to do ass-2-mouth to prove her loylaty in one of Scrib's campaigns :/

Like Mass Effect 2 broooooo, just character-centric missions that tie up individual plot lines

Like one of my guys had his family killed years before the start of the campaign, so he's going to hunt down those responsible for his family's death. Another one doesn't know his identity so in his mission we'll discover his past. They've given me free reign to write their backstories so I'm psyched as ****

Dark Sun looks seriously cool but I can see why you'd need to be more experienced to undertake it

SO ****ING STRESSED I WANT TO DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

fffuuu

shhhhhhh

Yeah, I think it's an interesting setting. People I know who have played said you can get killed quite easily.

Interview with the vampire

I still have that on VHS.
