because it lacked the tension of the original, which was more scifi/horror in style tbh. im less fond of action scifi, and never was a fan of most horror, but it was just the right blend. i love aliens more than alien for the opposite reason. less horror and more action.

On that point, I can totally see why, and I agree with your assessment of the genre spin. It's probably why I like T2 more and Aliens.

Wow. Dotrice was in a lot of films I have seen, but I did not recognize him.

I didn't watch to much of the trailer Park Boys, but I enjoyed what I did see
