Damn, if you enjoy D&D you would indeed love the BG series. What about Pillars of Eternity, did you ever play that?

I understand, you'd enjoy the games. Especially BG2.
That damn fear aura of dragons f*cks me over all the time.

Depends on the dragon and the team, if it were a team that were built especially to take down dragons (say, a team of magic users and bowmen at level 15 or so) then they'd have a good shot, but even then maybe not all of them would survive. Dragons are super intelligent and can outwit most player teams because they have thousands of years of experience on them. Usually to beat a dragon you'd have to corner it, and even then it'll be a fierce fight. Dragons' stats are generally ridiculously high, even for their respective levels.
I see. Are the stats of known beasts and heroes/heroines know beforehand?

ES games are the bee's knees though. I am partial to western RPGs though

Instead of being like "Are we strong enough to fight this lvl 13 dragon which has 400hp?" it just has to be "Are we strong enough to take on a dragon?" The DM hides all of the info, and if they suspect anyone has cheated and looked up the stats, they could change the stats entirely to **** with them.

If they've never fought a dragon before they're just gonna have to be damn sure they're ready, otherwise they'll lose their characters for good

Unfortunately, that would be me.

Are they PC-only games or did they release them on consoles too? My PS2 is still kicking so if they're on that I could probs find them for a decent price
PC only. Well Pillars of Eternity is newer and that is on like ps4 and xbox one now.
Baldur's Gate is older and like I said only on PC. Though in the last 5-6 years enhanced versions of the BG games have been released on PC.
You can zoom in a bit more on your character if you choose than the game play video shows. Well not just a "bit" more, a lot more, so you'll be able to see the action a lot better than the video suggests.
