I dig the newer ones just because of the enhanced controls.I was always partial to FF8. Although the Aries scene in FF7 was epic though.
FF8 is awesome too, I just happened to play and complete 7 first so it remains my favourite. I played 7 through 10 and loved all of them, then I played like a quarter of X-2 and quit FF games forever.
Surt, what about the BG games for PS2:

Do you know if they're worth playing or not?

This is why I do not play Morrowind without mods.
I remember the first time I got vampirism in Morrowind, those dreams scared the **** out of me. And then realising I had corprus on another save and not being able to go anywhere without being attacked. And then accidentally wracking up a bounty so big that I was attacked on sight and couldn't get rid of it. Oh, the joys of accidentally breaking your own game and not being able to play it any more. Seriously, that game had weight.

I feel the same way about Oblivion. That's where I started. That game was so fun but re learning the controls is a pain.
You should try 12. The skill tree system allows you to make your characters whatever build you want. I liked 7-10 as well except I wasn't really into Zidane as a main character. Vivi is awesome though. Same with 10. Titus irritated me but Auron is a boss.
I played some of 12 but I could never get into it, there was too much grinding involved and it felt slow-paced even for an FF game. Been meaning to play it properly at some point though, I replayed 7 very recently (beat Emerald and Ruby Weapons, mother****er) and I'm playing 6 right now so I'll probs just keep working my way through them and then play 12 as well.

I'm waiting on the full Skyrim patch. Gimme d@ shit, I'd play it for days and days
I already have mods that make your magic regenerate like in skyrim, etc. and the combat is better. Maybe one day they will completely redo it.

Ah see I knew vampirism made the game unbeatable, so I decided to get it at the end of the game when I was really powerful after I'd beaten it, just for fun. This involved having to create a spell to make myself weak to disease, because I was immune. Then I got infected. Then I pretty much just went from town to town murdering everyone as a vampire.
I was leaping huge distances because I'd create very epic jumping spells. So yeah, everybody burned once I became a vampire.
I went to Mournhould and murdered the king looted his corpse, and got the ring that makes you immune to all magic. So I just powered my way around the world at that point killing everything.
Dear god, you just reminded me of when I accidentally ****ed my acrobatics skills through a glitch in Morrowind and ended up having graphics-breaking jumping abilities. I'd have to do just like a tiny little jump up a step, but it'd require me to jump, position myself where I wanted to land, and then put the controller down for two minutes to let myself come back down.
Sometimes I'd hit jump by accident and sigh deeply as my character leapt through the ceiling and into the ether
