It does make you think though. We have seen a lot of child stars crash and burn, some even die. People tend to chalk it up to just the pitfalls of what happens when someone so young has access to so much money, especially as their fame is fading away as they get older.

Maybe there is something darker underneath all that.

it's the product of a long-running culture of rape-apologists and victim-blamers/silencers that make it possible for a grown man to seduce a 14 year old and believe at the time that he did nothing wrong. and i do honestly believe that kevin was just doing what the romans do because that type of behavior has been normalized many times over. not just in hollywood but in politics and business, anything involving power.

of course we will have ridiculous pile-ons like with adam sandler's unwanted knee-touching, but i don't think this cat can be put back in the bag.

That's why we need to combat the culture and not the individuals, unless the individuals have done inexcusable things, and even then we need to punish them as a part of the larger picture and not turn it into a witch hunt that ends with a public execution and no further care about the issue until another witch appears

Also can we note that this is larger than Hollywood – the Spacey incident happened as a part of the theatre community, as neither Spacey nor Rapp were involved with Hollywood at the time

I'm surprised people only now realized Spacey was gay. He's not outright said it, but it's been known for decades.

The biggest problem is that hebes will do it because everyone else is "doing it" only to later regret it and feel like they made a big mistake.

Girls as young as 13 and 14 engage in sexual activity with older boys all the time. Adam Johnson, a famous footballer, fooled around with a 15 year old and got jailed, yet the girl was initialising most of the thing. I guess this is one instance where the rich don't get that privilege?
