Just write more good minority characters tho, that makes the most sense overall. As long as they're well-written and integrated well, why would I give a shit? I want them to be good characters and not diversity ploys. Diversity ploys can often end up seeming more racist, like they just chucked them in because they had to, not because they thought it'd work well with the story or universe

Lol dude, I know this isn't next example exactly writing another minority character character, but this doesn't work. People whined over the casting in Aladdin. Was it that some white dude was cast as Aladdin?
