If it's the same article I read, they said they didn't understand because they haven't had a player kneel for the anthem since like week 3 or something. They kneel before the anthem is played.
I think for some fans the problem was that those kneeling before anthems were people who didn't want to cause controversy by kneeling during the anthem, but at the same time they were still showing solidarity with people kneeling during the anthem.
At that point I think it was all too little too late.

yeah, I don't like the kneeling during the anthem, but I love Football so I'm still gonna watch.
Have you been watching the past few weeks? People have been telling me that the tv networks just plain don't even show the protests on tv anymore, which is hilarious if true.

Oh Bash, it's not politics, but it is you showing you're just as incapable of having someone post without injecting your own little agenda into it.

I think they skip it as there has been a noticeable decrease in viewership from what I understand. Being overseas right now is making it hard for me to catch a lot of games though as most of the games play right around 3am here.
There's no point to even continue the protests. They have more than enough attention on them now...they could have taken it off the field to try to accomplish something, but nope.
