Originally posted by Bashar TegNo I totally get what you're saying, and I am going to eventually take more definite steps to quitting, such as patches and maybe a really cheap vape or something, but I'm enjoying the benefits of low-key smoking atm. I'm right at the end of two major projects (novel + album), and I started them with smoking, so I'm okay with finishing them with smoking, too. Once they're out of the way I'll have a period of inactivity where I can learn to do everything I normally would without smoking. This is more of a trail-run where I see how well I can do just of my own volition.
you may take this as a jab against you, but it's really not: the only people who i see quit cold-turkey successfully are those who say nothing about it. i would just notice "hey i havent seen you smoking" and they'll be like "yeah i quit over a year ago". point: the more you let it dance around your head like that, the closer you are to caving in and going back to sucking the paper-dick.if it's really consuming your mind, maybe try substitution. nicotine gum/lozenges/patch/douche-flute/etc.

See, I don't know what advice I can give to that. I'm in the same boat. I like drinking, I can go with out, but given the option, I'd pick a drink.I had one drink on a Thursday night and I'm still drunk.
I hate the fact that it's happened, but I'm enjoying the buzz I'm getting. srug
My triggers are simple.
Something even vaguely bad happens: WHERE THE CIGS AND WHISKY
My poor infantile mind, it just can't take anything in its stride without assuming that the whole world is ****ed and I'm going to die young and alone and everyone hates me. Gets annoying after a while. Like just chill out, brain

Time to break out the whiskey bro because guess what? Somewhere right now in this world...injustice is happening!

Beer/ale is my go-to but I love a nice full bottle of whisky once in a while
Also, I lost my virginity to this whiskey and coke girl and I had sex with her in the streets. I can still taste her cold whiskey tongue. I prefer gin, rum, bourbon (its different) and tequila.
