My coworker is talking about Obama wearing a bra

It's called a "bro" when men wear one.

you may take this as a jab against you, but it's really not: the only people who i see quit cold-turkey successfully are those who say nothing about it. i would just notice "hey i havent seen you smoking" and they'll be like "yeah i quit over a year ago". point: the more you let it dance around your head like that, the closer you are to caving in and going back to sucking the paper-dick.

if it's really consuming your mind, maybe try substitution. nicotine gum/lozenges/patch/douche-flute/etc.

No I totally get what you're saying, and I am going to eventually take more definite steps to quitting, such as patches and maybe a really cheap vape or something, but I'm enjoying the benefits of low-key smoking atm. I'm right at the end of two major projects (novel + album), and I started them with smoking, so I'm okay with finishing them with smoking, too. Once they're out of the way I'll have a period of inactivity where I can learn to do everything I normally would without smoking. This is more of a trail-run where I see how well I can do just of my own volition.

See, I don't know what advice I can give to that. I'm in the same boat. I like drinking, I can go with out, but given the option, I'd pick a drink.

I had one drink on a Thursday night and I'm still drunk.

I hate the fact that it's happened, but I'm enjoying the buzz I'm getting. srug

Cutting down drinking is the important first step. Allow minor relapses. One day you'll realise you haven't had a drink since '17 and be like "hey, nice"

I'd never quit cold turkey. I use cold turkey all the time on sandwiches.

I still have a fairly major alcoholic streak through me, the only reason I'm not depressed-drinking every night is because I can't afford it

I don't know what my triggers are. But I'm not that bad when it comes to smoking. Can honestly say I've had no cigarettes since Thursday and I'm fine.

My triggers are simple.

Something even vaguely bad happens: WHERE THE CIGS AND WHISKY

My poor infantile mind, it just can't take anything in its stride without assuming that the whole world is ****ed and I'm going to die young and alone and everyone hates me. Gets annoying after a while. Like just chill out, brain

Time to break out the whiskey bro because guess what? Somewhere right now in this world...injustice is happening!

Yeah but it isn't happening to me so **** em

Now, if I stubbed my toe or something, then I'd have to start literally shaking and down a full bottle of whisky while listening to that song that goes "it's my birthday and I'll cry if I want"

I'm more of a beer and cider person, honestly. euro

Beer/ale is my go-to but I love a nice full bottle of whisky once in a while

And the artist gave Trump ginger pubes.

Not me. First time I had whiskey was Famous Grouse when I was 17. I got really ****ing drunk. Can't really have whiskey that much.

Also, I lost my virginity to this whiskey and coke girl and I had sex with her in the streets. I can still taste her cold whiskey tongue. I prefer gin, rum, bourbon (its different) and tequila.
