The best band of the 90s will always be Alice In Chains

I literally just said that Pavement are the best band of the '90s and there's no arguing with that statment

some statements are so easily dismissible that it's not even worth the effort.

Yeah, like "Pavement aren't the best band of the '90s"

What a laughable statement and I'm glad that you unequivocally agree

I mean, if we were to discuss this, Oasis, Blur, Cranberries, Smashing Pumpkins?

Shockingly blinkered choices

Metallica, Korn, Slayer?

Okay, I'm listening to Range Life by Pavement

It's like listening to a proto-indie band.

Metallica's '90s output is mostly mediocre other than the Black Album, Korn are like, okay, I guess, and again with Slayer, their '80s work was a lot better than their '90s stuff (although their '90s stuff was overall a lot better than Metallica's)

If we're talking 90's grunge, when grunge was at the height of its power, then there can be only one and that one is without a doubt Sound Garden.

They are literally the proto-indie band, the amount of '90s and 2000s bands that ripped them off is ridiculous. Some of those bands are good though so I'm not dissing

Soundgarden have a bunch of classics, can't deny it

Though Alice In Chains is great I must say.

Sonic Youth's '90s albums are better than most of the grunge output though imo

90's was an all around shit time for music. 👇

Disagree heavily, about half of my top ten albums are from the '90s

I mention Alice In Chains and you people have to have a grunge discussion, okay.

Yeah. I actually kinda like them and I've never heard them before until now.
