That being said, he's based on another villain (this is a pre-gen campaign that I've been morphing to my own ideas) who I killed with one hit (shortbow + sneak attack + natural 20 critical + good damage, made his head explode for 28 damage), so they might just end up killing him easily. I'm probably going to make him stronger so that they really have to work for their victory.

No dude, the truth is you kept on harping on XYZ and DDM decided to drop some knowledge about you as well. And you know why? It is not because he justifies the behavior, nor does anyone else.
