Unfortunately, not these people:

Politically, they tend to demonetise any videos that could be seen as politically charged or politically controversial, both left and right, unless it's Jimmy Kimmel; who happens to be rich as **** and very powerful in the media generally.
Nah, it's actually not bullshit at all. It tends to swing towards conservatives. Now, if I'd said "no liberal ever once had a video demonetized" your h1 point is valid and relevant.
Seeing it as just a 'left-leaning bias' is reductive and misses the point entirely, but that's not surprising. I can see why it could be seen that way, but the point is just that they're playing into the hands of specific powerful parties, many of whom happen to be "left". But it's not the fact that they are "left" or "right" that matters, it just matters that they're the ones in power. Left-wing political commentators on YouTube are also being thoroughly demonetised because their content doesn't fit into the narrative being created by specific left-wing parties like Kimmel.
Just because the people YouTube are pandering to have a number of left-leaning people in there, doesn't mean that "YouTube has a left-leaning bias", it means they're pandering to people who happen to be left-leaning. There's a huge difference. If you keep seeing everything as a big reductive blanket "LEFT VS RIGHT!!! FIGHT!!!" then you're really not going to get anywhere. The left and the right need to fight together against YouTube's policies because it's damaging for the whole community. At this point even just people who say a naughty word get demonetised.
I didn't mean that to be so long, but I have actually done quite a bit of research into it all and have heard about it from the mouths of many YouTubers in their videos so I can kind of tell that your opinion isn't massively informed, and probably is just you repeating something that Professional Victim Paul Joseph Watson has said

You could be correct, it just does seem like the rules tend to get bent more for one side more than the other.
I agree people do need to fight together, but there really hasn't been much incentive from one side because they weren't the ones getting demonetized en masse.
But yes, Youtube probably is pandering. As does Twitter. And yet places like that have grown so powerful simply going "I'll just go elsewhere" isn't as feasible. I do think Google holds too much power.
