Originally posted by SurturLoads of food channels have been demonetised too, like a surprisingly high amount. Nobody can figure out exactly how their demonetisation system works. Sure, more conservative channels have been demonetised than liberal ones, but more fishing channels have been demonetised than car review ones. Does that show a slant towards favouring the car community over the fishing community? It's easy to say that it's political, but from all of the evidence... it's not political. They're just crazy and are demonetising everyone they can afford to. Money sucking mother****ers.
You could be correct, it just does seem like the rules tend to get bent more for one side more than the other.I agree people do need to fight together, but there really hasn't been much incentive from one side because they weren't the ones getting demonetized en masse.
But yes, Youtube probably is pandering. As does Twitter. And yet places like that have grown so powerful simply going "I'll just go elsewhere" isn't as feasible. I do think Google holds too much power.
**** Google too though yeah, they're basically their own form of state surveillance at this point, whoring out people's privacy to governments. You can't trust Google, look how they operate in China. If, say, the US became a dictatorship suddenly, Google would be right behind them, probably looking to steal the NSA's contract.
Twitter is a platform that I will happily say has a huge Left-leaning slant, for the most part; but that seems to be mostly because the Left seems to love Twitter more than the Right, Trump not included.
