and no I'm not claiming that this somehow proves your arguments wrong in any way beyond your misuse of "oversimplify" [/B]

Yeah, it wasn't the best choice of word for me to defend using, but I see language to only be as useful as it is in context, so you still got my point even if the word wasn't 100% accurate. In my eyes that means it still served its purpose

I wonder if I'm the only one noticing...it seems easier, in general, for those who lean more towards the right to call out both sides than it is for people who lean left.
Idk, I barely see anyone doing it these days, most of those who used to seem to have gotten sick of the bickering sides and just started keeping quiet so that they don't get their heads bitten off by both sides

Unless the word means, like, the complete opposite or something, then you're just ****ing up

i think it's way more important than just semantics in this case. i believe most of society's inherent problems are the result of a heritage of oversimplifying issues and concepts. simplification for the sake of impact and a broader understanding is a different matter entirely, and good practice. please don't think I'm riding your ass for fun over a word, it's just that this one strikes a nerve.

Like I say, I completely understand your point, and it's not a technique I'd suggest to a lot of people – you have to learn to think complexly first so that you can then actually understand the simple. Relying on simplification is a generally very bad move, as you're saying.

Why are you so scared of words you don't have to read

Yeah

Y'all needs to get on with the theory shit

I’m going to footlocker

I believe praxis and theory to be too inexorably linked to broadly favour one over the other, although in specific societal conditions respective approaches clearly hold advantage
