There is a very interesting point someone made whom I wish I could give credit to.Why isn't the abuse of boys/young men being promoted as a part of the #MeToo Movement?

That doesn't come close.
There is a documentary called AN OPEN SECRET it is available on YouTube. It pretty much exposes everything.

I hate saying the same shit over and over, so I'll just say this again: if you read my previous posts, I specifically covered the fact that I am unwilling to directly contradict or deny a survivor's abuse account.

not to kick the strawman, but why else would mia's parenting be brought up as relevant
...relevant to the molestation accusation made by dylan.
Originally posted by Bashar TegThe original accusation was made by Mia Farrow. Dylan was screened extensively and the continued gaps in her account then led them to believe that she was being manipulated by her mother to smear Allen after he broke her heart by running off with Soon-Yi.

the opinions of hired experts examining a 7 year old child is not relevant when you are addressing the testimony of an 30+ yo adult. that cow has been milked long ago. and furthermore, since we're using the court proceedings:
In his final decision, in June 1993, Justice Wilk stated that he found "no credible evidence to support Mr. Allen's contention that Ms. Farrow coached Dylan or that Ms. Farrow acted upon a desire for revenge against him for seducing Soon-Yi. Mr. Allen's resort to the stereotypical 'woman scorned' defense is an injudicious attempt to divert attention from his failure to act as a responsible parent and adult."[103] He rejected Allen's bid for full custody and denied him visitation rights with Dylan, stating that even though the full truth of the allegations may never be known, "the credible testimony of Ms. Farrow, Dr. Coates, Dr. Leventhal and Mr. Allen does, however, prove that Mr. Allen's behavior toward Dylan was grossly inappropriate and that measures must be taken to protect her"

I don't doubt that many of the women who had sexual contact with Weinstein were complicit and did so to further their careers, but I don't think that should distract from the fact that he also likely preyed on lots of naive and unwilling women in the industry too.
It's fine to say this, but it's hard to see how it won't distract from it. It's hard to tell which side of this some of these people fall on.
I think most people in Hollywood were probably fully aware of the kind of people in their midst though, they just didn't care.
Like everything else in Hollywood...most of their outrage seems fake. It took millions of people having to find out what was going on before they decided it was time to do something.

There is an article by a former Miramax employee who is a filmmaker titled "They Knew". He names names and places and pretty much destroys any notion of ignorance on the part of the celebrities coming out now championing women's rights in entertainment.
Typical. It seemed it was more convenient just to look the other way if you wanted to make it in the business. And then once some of these people reached the top and gained enough influence and power to do something they...did not do anything.
We've moved on now from one hypocrisy to another, rape is not in this year, guns are in. It has been announced at the Oscars they will be wearing orange pins in the name of gun violence or anti gun violence or something.
Yes, there is indeed going to be plenty of armed security at this event as well lol.
Originally posted by SurturOf course a lot of the outrage is fake, everyone would have known it was going on to some degree if it was this widespread. You can't really trust anyone.
