Didn't care for that film, but I checked, it earned a bit over 10mil, unless it cost like 5mil or less to film, not much of a success.

edit: It cost 11mil to make, so it flopped and rightfully so. Never. Go. Full. Rtard.

i should have added that it didn't hurt dicaprio's career in any way. the implication from downy's character was that going full retard will hurt/end your acting career. dicaprio got away with it imho because he was a secondary character. films with a mentally disabled main protagonist tend to come off as condescending and maybe mocking. thats my hypothesis, anyway

I didn't know it flopped, but according to tracking, it earned a bit more than 10mil, but cost 11mil to make. That's a flop.

i guess so then. i also guess it was one of those post-box office smash hits then, because everyone...EVERYONE would not stfu about it, and i was forced to watch it at least 3 times. it was THE chick flick rental of the season
