I believe it wasn't the idea of any single being.

Wouldn't it be horrifying if it was? That's a twilight zone episode.

But I'm not opposed to spirituality. But don't think one thing did all this and surely don't worship it.

Not true I don't know what to call me. Do atheists believe life after death is possible? Science says energy can't ever truly be destroyed.

But I think the potential for a consciousness to exist in some form after the body dies is way different than... Yahweh

See, you have belief in the possibility of an afterlife, but you put so much stock into the absolute tininess of human life. This is where I think a lot of your inability to comprehend Christian thought comes from; you are incapable to stepping outside of the realm of life, suffering and death.

My personal faith is slowly taking a pantheist edge. The recurring myths and stories throughout human history are too fascinating to ignore

For example, I really like the "Many faces, one God" belief found in Hinduism. That links into various ideas I have about God being the universe itself, and us being a part of it/'him' that is conscious of itself.

An interesting thing about the OT is that it isn't until Isaiah that it's explicitly stated that Yahweh is the 'one' god. I'm not sure how to approach that yet, but it's an interesting detail with a lot of ancient historical significance.
