I've messed around with gifs but on KMC the amount of quality you retain vs jpeg is basically nothing

for example I uploaded my avi as a gif and it was exactly the same either way

time to quote a really big image my friends

just kidding, it pisses me off scrolling around it

are you trying to make me do it for you, walshy?

Let’s move on

Scribble make me a colourful coronavirus sig

Ty

fine I'll do it, walshy. just tell me what to google search because I have no idea wtf the av is from

I do my own work

Unless Piggle made me an original sig, I'd only wear my own stuff

But thanks

Although if you want to explain how gifs work that'd be nice, it may not surprise you to learn that I have no idea what I'm doing other than pretty colour go brrrrr

selectively drop expendable colors from the pallet and find a balance between that and dithering

also try different types of dithering and (sorry to insult you by repeating it, tenderbuns): find the absolute largest starting point you can find and zoom in close to make sure that it's genuine hi-res, and not originating from those jerkoff sites who recompress images to a larger size.

see, I saved my avi as a gif this time and it still loses quality

this is the original image

I think I'm alright with it like this (I say through much weeping and gnashing of teeth)

there you go. some cvnt recompressed that to a larger size. i'm on a 5k monitor so it screams it

What is that image, Scrib?

the irony is there likely is a smaller image which would work better. file size alone cant be trusted

the pixels around the chin in particular tell the story
