Has anyone ever watched the relentless machine like alternating base picking from Lyndsey Buckingham on Landslide
It's monstrously hard to do the picking and the base tightly, when I was playing a lot in my teens and my hands were smaller, it always fell apart for me lol.

i'm hopelessly incompetent at even attempting to pick like that

Economy picking is the way to go for that stuff, but then, I find economy picking tricky, it requires a bit of thought to keep it going

I had guitar lessons from about 11 to 14. The guy who taught me had a Cat Steven's thing so a lot of what I learnt was picking. That said as my fingers got enormous and sausage like during puberty, this became a struggle.

Agreed.

Idk man, I kind of wish I had sausage fingers. I have tiny girl hands, it makes playing bass especially nigh impossible at times, and barre chords on guitar can get painful

Hey Donnie, I'm just spitballing here but like. Ingesting Disinfectants sounds like a bad play

I can do punk. Idk if I mentioned but I was in a punk band, it was a lot of fun, but paying money to travel to gigs that you don't get paid to play, and nobody's there, and you're on when everyone who is there is shitfaced and they're not even listening to you and just moshing to whatever's going, ended up jading me to the whole thing. Fun whilst it lasted tho

i did the band thing a long time ago, when i was playing bass in my late teens. i was okay, but it was a miserable experience and i stopped playing altogether for many years.

picked guitar up about 15 years ago and put real time into learning. then paused it in 2011 because i decided to be a drummer. now i cant have a kit at my place, so i'm a guitarist again

my cousin has fat hands and sausage fingers and plays blues solos on the frets very nicely. he never seems to tire or cramp up either, probably ease in playing from all the muscle in said sausage fingers

What kind of music did you guys play?

Drumming is the best, really. Drummers get a lot of flack for some reason, I think it's because all other musicians are jealous of them. The best drummers I've met also tend to be very good at many other instruments

Stir crazy

depended on the band. i was in one band that had multiple personality disorder.

"we're a punk band"

"no forget that, punk is trendy, we're a hard core band now"

"nah hard core is so trendy. we're a death metal band now"

Now, now, now Quinc, don't let your "TDS" make you say lies, Trump said the disinfectants should be injected, not ingested. Because it does a "tremendous number in the lungs"...
