Film started playing Pink Floyd - The Chain and the ridiculous subtitles said “pop music plays”

Deaf people would never know the goodness of that moment

My current goal in life is to eliminate my excess empathy. It's caused me nothing but problems, and hinders my rationality

I have the opposite problem. I need to maybe consider the emotional impact my statements could have.

I've often wondered what the point of this was. I deaf since birth person isn't going to know how genres differ.

Yep. I would not have thought of that.

I'm not familiar with the term. What is brutalist architecture?
I'll post some pics of famous Brutalist buildings, that'll explain it better than I can. Although to put it simply, it's the idea of function over aesthetic, although it also became its own kind of artistic statement, one of anti-beauty, in line with other nascent modernist / postmodernist ideas

I meant it more in terms of how I think, like how psychopaths can come across as caring when they actually don't care at all. A mild form of that is my ideal

But I imagine it's hard coming from the other side of things, but then again, who cares how people feel about something you've said? It's their choice to take offense, right?

Either way, what a slammin' tune

I can tell when it's Welshy, even before he uses telltale words like "football" or "sheep" or "slammin'"

I heard an a Capella version of the chain once and it was pretty cool

Thanks. I really like the Ancient Roman and Greek architecture. Those pictures always fascinate me.

I much, much prefer classical architecture to modern stuff. I went to Italy for the first time last year and was in heaven, Florence was glorious

Overall I would say yes, but I also loathe imbalance. I like a go with the flow, or peaceful atmosphere. I get uncomfortable when people get mad or offended by something I say when I didn't mean it to be negative. Up to a point anyway.

Yeah, there just seems to be more character in the way things were built long ago. I was awed by the valley of the temples in Agrigento when I was able to visit Sicily.

That's a good point, and I agree. If conflict does start then I'll deal with it, but for sake of ease I enjoy things to be simple and without any lingering hostility. I do tend to be very careful with words and use tonnes of qualifiers to make sure people don't misunderstand me (not that they always work, but that's life I guess)

Another camera meeting today, I'm not enjoying them. They're weird.
