I'd say listen to III, it has a nice mix of their harder rock stuff and them starting to progress and move from blues to folk, with small drops of psych.

Their first album is raw and heavy and I also love it with all of my heart

the kinks probably invented it imo.

Houses of the Holy is their weirdest album with some of their best tracks on, but also a few genre pastiches that are sometimes successful (The Crunge) and sometimes less so (D'yer Mak'er)

But it has No Quarter, which is easily one of my fave Zep tracks

that was punk, not metal. Ray Davies + co had the raw sound, but no actual heaviness. although I'd contest the Kinks inventing punk either, there are a lot of tracks of the era with a similar edge — Paul Revere and the Raiders, the Turtles (esp. their cover of It Ain't Me Babe), but then they were probably influenced by the Kinks (I'm not so keen on the dates there)

Metal was born on the 13th of February, 1970

No it's just a hilarious yugi-oh parody

"She's in darkness now, as she will be forever" lol

honestly I watched some yu-gi-oh! episodes recently and it's basically a parody of itself

Kaiba is good tho

I used to watch it in the mornings before school when I was a kid. I don't remember Joey or any of the plotlines referenced in the parody, but I do remember Yugi-oh always telling everyone exactly what he was gonna do.

they constantly reference 'the Shadow Realm', honestly I watched four episodes and kept count, they said 'Shadow Realm' and 'Shadows' a total of like 25-30 times or something

I'm not a huge anime fan. There are a few things I liked. I enjoyed Hellsing and Bastard was...curious. I did enjoy DBZ but when I think about it...I really would just watch the battle scenes and nothing else.

I struggle reading manga because a lot of it is drawn in black and white and so sometimes I have trouble telling just wtf is going on in a scene.

AND AS YOU KNOW, THAT MEANS YOU WILL LOSE THE DUEL, AND BE SENT TO THE SHADOW REALM!

like yes we know, why are you recapping something you said two minutes ago

why even play a duel where u get banished to another dimension if u lose

I'm watching through DBZ at the moment, the battles are good but I prefer all the buildup and character stuff. I recently bought Hellsing: Ultimate, so I'm going to watch it very soon

Hopefully you watched Dragonball first.

I think in this episode the baddies kidnapped Joey's like blind sister or something? and to get her back, they wanted to duel Yugi? Like wtf just ****ing shoot him in the head if you wanna kill him
