Yeah since he's seen Buffy, but not Angel he is gonna be shocked at how Wesley turns out. He has the greatest character transformation.

Spike's arc is one of the best too

Spike may pop in and out on Angel if you're a Spike fan

Spike is one of the best things about the final season of Angel too, which takes place 3 months after the Buffy series finale.

And one of the best episodes out of both series combined is from Angel where him and Spike team up to go to Rome.

I think he's my fave Buffy character but Buffy herself is pretty close too. Great, now I want to listen to Once More With Feeling

U gotta get to season 5 in angel to earn that knowledge. But if you're a Spike fan then that alone is reason enough to get there.

did anyone read the comics?

buffy ends with season 7 on tv, but they did seasons 8-12 in the comics.
