Gee almost sounds like you're passionate about something and it is worth living for.

Maybe reflect on this.

why would being passionate about something make life worth living?? Writing overall causes me more pain than it does good, and being creative in general is part of my curse. But I can enjoy it from time to time, and I enjoy talking shop

You don't understand, from my perspective, nothing makes life hold any inherent worth

Some things just temporarily make it less painful, or at least more entertaining

If you haven't already, watch The Queen's Gambit on Netflix, it's very well done. Stronger start than finish, imo. But it's still a great miniseries.

Maybe instead of killing yourself just write a novel about someone who kills themselves and write about how their friends and family deal with it.
Sounds gay to me, I prefer writing about interdimensional conspiracies and spooky freak mansters

Maybe your destiny isn't to write novels yourself, but to help other writers.

Okay, a monster hunter from another dimension commits suicide and is forced from the afterlife to watch his family and friends deal with the trauma. And also to watch them get killed by monsters cuz he was the best monster hunter ever and without him the monsters from another dimension kill everyone.

That sounds cool! I'd love to read what you've got, if you'd be willing to share that is!

Defo feel you about writing w/o passion too. I've stopped many projects due to losing passion. I can barely write at all unless that's febrile fervour is there. But also yeah first drafts are important. My first drafts rarely change that much anymore but it took me ages to get to that level and also I work on multiple drafts over time until they're 'perfect' (my second novel is on its fourth or fifth draft and is still a bit of a mess)

But yeah. Highly rec getting into writing poetry! It's very rewarding as you can finish them in one sitting

I'll send something your way then soon! I'm hoping I get some feedback from the site I sent to so fingers crossed, yeah? Then we can be Team Scribe and talk about typing and all that gooooooooooooooooooooood shit you know you feel me?

I fell into a rabbit hole recently of watching really old interviews with different writers and stuff and it got me all hyped up to write and that was really cool.

My advice would quickly become "write a 20,000-word-long sentence like me lmao"

I like my men like I like my men, dressed like women

Yes, I wrote a single uninterrupted sentence that is longer than Lovecraft's The Dunwich Horror

And twice as long as Call of Cthulhu

Dooo eeeeit !!

Once you get into something it can be super cool seeing where it goes

The novel I'm working on will likely be my last if just because I'm throwing everything into it. It's like 157,000 words long in total and there's still a bunch of stuff left to do. Watching it get weirder and weirder has been a trip

No he's just dressed in women's clothes, I like my men fully presenting female but still not 'a woman'

If he shaved and did his hair more feminine he would be pretty cute tho, I think

But beards and women's clothes are a major nope for me
