The TL;DR would be: "Part of the reason suicide is so taboo is because there is no access to safe and painless ways to opt out of life. Life does not have the capability to be 'good' or even bearable for all people. The unshackled, rational individual has a right to choose when they die, and it should be legal, safe and painless."
I concur
You wouldn't be scared if it was legal and accessible. If you really wanted to do it you could just book an appointment at the local euthanasia clinic, and then if you realised you didn't want to die, you'd just cancel the appointment and keep living. The reason people are 'scared of suicide' (I used to be, too) is because they're worried they might suddenly do it. If it was an available service there wouldn't be any reason to do it suddenly because you could arrange to have it done any time.
