You can get eye insurance but so far I’ve only seen where you get $200 a year, either towards an exam or towards glasses / contacts

Just either / or not both

But the amount of money you put into the insurance every month is more than $200 a year

Did some currency conversions on google, as people do, and 1 Euro is 1.03 American dollars.

So MG, if you ever go to Europe and exchange the currency, $400 will get you €400. Cool, huh?
