Out of those I've only seen Nightcrawler, Gone Girl and Mad Max: Fury Road. I thought they were all a realistic mirror of the current zeitgeist and while displaying a certain joie de vivre also worked as an intricate exploration of the human spirit as a whole.

I'm really not though. Calling someone a snob is no different than calling someone's tastes ''low-brow'' or ''culturally insignificant''. It's a reflection of the same insecurities, just directed at a different group of people.
