I have to say you truly do pick up the slack for Slay and Bardock when it comes to the strange assumptions you come to.I never said I would run away from someone bigger. What I said was I think it's up to the person to protect themselves. It's up to you, Scribble, to protect yourself. It is not up to me to protect you FROM yourself because you're a grown ass man. So if you were weaker and smaller than me and decided to attack me well..the consequences of that would be on you, not I.
If a woman hit me it's not like I'd pound the hell out of her. She hits me once, she gets hit once. It's that simple.
I get all that, but essentially I just don't see the point in being so ready to throw yourself into violence. I don't start any shit, so I don't expect to get any shit, which isn't how the world is sadly but I'm not going to just hit any random person who attacks me, especially if they seem like they don't know what they're doing. You never know what kind of a day someone has had. My kind of equal rights is just not lashing out at people and instead trying to calm them down or approach the situation differently
Like when I got mugged in the park last Christmas time, I didn't hit the guy back, I just started shouting a bit and saying it was a dick move to hit me and like why would you do that? it's just rude, and then he went away on his bike because he didn't want me making a big fuss. More effective than either hitting back or running away imo

I never spoke of running away from anyone. I said I'm the opposite in that I think it's up to the attacker to do the sizing up. It's not the bears job to tell you not to poke it, right? I mean even if bears could talk it wouldn't be their job.

I just have zero tolerance for people attacking me. Whether or not they are having a bad day is not my concern since they have no right to take out their frustrations on me. I could be having a bad day too, but they certainly weren't giving any thought to that were they?

Perhaps in that situation that was the right thing to do, but I just think people need to be careful when they attack someone bigger and stronger, especially women. Too many women are finding out the hard way that there is no more immunity and that is how things should be. Nobody has the right to hit others and nobody has the right to think they can beat on someone consequence free.
I blame society in part as we've raised people to believe in this nonsense of it's not okay to hit boys, but it is somehow even less okay to hit girls. That kind of attitude thankfully just won't fly anymore. It's not a gender thing it's a people thing: keep your hands to yourself.
But you see that is part of the reason videos like this become popular. It's not just "people like seeing others punched". It's because for so long it just wasn't acceptable for a man to defend himself against a woman.
