I just wonder if some people just feel they are invincible immortal beings? So often I'm out driving and I'll see a pedestrian and they go to cross the street and they don't even bother to look if any cars are coming. I was taught to look both ways before crossing the street at the age of 5.
It's like they think reality itself is going to warp and protect them from harm. Oh sure I'm driving and I should be alert and paying attention, but what if I wasn't? I sometimes wonder if deep down they want to get hit by a car so they can sue.
