USA vs Roman Empire IN A WAR

Napoleon, Alexander and Hannibal

Che would be the man you'd want in this scenario

In deadliest warriors, (spoiler!)

the knight lost. This is true despite the fact that the knight could just shoot the unarmored pirate w/his crossbow outside the range of the blunderbuss for a one shot one kill.

And why did they test pistol vs armor and crossbow vs flesh but for the swords they both tested vs flesh? It seems like they always give the edge to both sides so that they both have even advantages.

(a bit off topic, but someone here mentioned deadliest warriors so oh well)

I haven't watched that one yet, so thanks for the spoiler, ****.

That formation wouldn't be very smart vs the USA due to artillery and all that...they're all bunched together and the Americans wouldn't engage in melee unless if they were really stupid.

USA wins. Unless of course if Rome somehow gets 6 billion troops, Napoleon, Alexander and Hannibal on their side, full knowledge of the USA and America is being commanded by George Bush (just kidding).

The 6 billion alone might do it.

6 billion foot soldiers with archaic weapons still can't do shit against air attacks, every Apache gunship could indiscriminately decimate the Romans, and that's just one type of weapon.

It would take time for the U.S. to kill 6 billion though, so if the rules now include a time-limit, that might be the win the Romans need.

I don't know, dude, 6 billion is an awful large number.

Every US soldier would have to kill 2000+ each to beat them all.

...so, this thread is serious? Who voted for Rome?

I'll be honest and say I haven't read past the first page, sorry if I'm ignoring some great argument for the Roman legionnaires to cripple America, but... no.

I haven't voted yet.

Choices like these don't come at you everyday ya know. 🙁 😛

Na, the U.S. has many a war machine to employ on the ground and in the air; not just soldiers with guns. Just a matter of time. This isn't even factoring in bombs and bombers, think what a M.O.A.B would do to thousands of Romans in separate but close formation.

If conventional weapons run out, fuel for vehicles, bullets and bombs, there's always nukes. Hey, it beats defeat.

Unless they're very spread out a carpet bombing run would take out hordes of them. With Roman technology bombing could go on almost indefinitely.

Is this thread for real? WTF man???? How is Rome suppose to win, in what plausible scenario can they even stand a chance? I would rather jump in shark infested waters covered with fish guts and blood. I bet with my swiss army knife I could somehow defeat a gang of great whites.

Which is more than possible: a machine gun could fire 1000+ rounds a minute, so...

If you quote it, you can see the tags he uses.

I'm not going to tell you because it will ruin the learning moment. 😄

Curse English and it's requirement of commas for the purpose of disambiguation!

I think you guys underestimate just how much 6 billion is.

It's about the population of the Earth.

How do you see 6 billion spear-men defeating the U.S. Military? Mass swarmings? (which is all they really have going for them)

Well it depends all on the situation really doesn't it? Where they are at, how fast they pick up modern technologies. Though 6 billion is just a ridiculous number, it makes no sense in any infrastructure sort of way.
