5 out of 5.

Stop wasting time Nolan and get to work on Batman 3. kthnxbye.

i am not worried, he has done a superfluous job thus far, so in two years i will be in century city on opening night

I'm going to see this movie tomorrow - can't wait!

Nolan hasn't let me down thus far. I don't think he will with this movie. All the reviews i've seen so far have been great.

saw the movie again on IMAX.

this movie IS AMAZING!

i dont think the last scene was a DREAM. because MAL doesn't appear in any of the "real world" scenes. including the last scene. Even if they killed MAL in limbo, MAL really can't die because shes just a PROJECTION.

I saw this.

8/10.

Not a 9.

Soundtrack is a mid 9, though. Was really good.

Imma get a lot of trouble for this...but...concept was very creative, but not original, even in the slightest. It was fun, though. I thought the depiction and creativity in the dreams was unrealistic and bland. It was far too real world. The "dream" state in Shutter Island was a lot closer to being closer to what a dream would really be like.

Also, the math was horribly wrong for time for each dream level. We go from 5 mintues being 60 minutes to 10 hours being ten years.

It could be explained with a geometric function where the power is also increased by a similar number to the "iteration". (think x^(n+n) or something)

Oh well.

I'll continue my review, later.

Glad someone brought up the score...It is damn good.

1: You must have some pretty messed up dreams.
2: Only you with the fecking maths stuff.

😛

heres an interesting theory...

The REAL inception happened TO LEO's character COBB!

Michael Cain's character (miles) TAUGHT Cobbs everything he knew! Miles was THE original extractor!

Miles and Ariadne performed an inception on Cobb so he could forget about MAL once and for all!

It reminded me of The Cell with Jennifer Lopez and Vince Vaughn. And sometimes it even seemed like a rip-off. Both movies involve breaking into someone's mind in order to retrieve a secret, and have lots of fantasy-looking worlds.

well if you've actually seen the movie...it wasn't about BREAKING INTO SOMEONES MIND TO RETRIEVE A SECRET.

So you're saying the scene where she killed herself by jumping wasn't real? I don't think so either, but that wouldn't fit with your previous thoughts.

No the FLASHBACK scenes were real.

I was referring to the "real world" scenes (with Cobb, Saito, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Ariadne, Miles, Yusuf, etc.).

Yeah, in this movie they planted information, but what's the real difference?

Both invlolved infiltrating a person's mind while they were unconcious. And to make the movie more visually appealing, they both used a lot of fantasy imagery.

You're were originally right too, kid's just confused. As the movie starts off with the premise that Leonardo steals secrets from people while they dream.

Same premise, doesn't follow the same storyline. It's like saying because Saving Private Ryan is based on WW2 it's a ripoff of The Longest Day.

Excellent movie. It's nice to see an intelligent movie with a big budget.

That wasn't directed at me was it?

Anyone with any knowledge of films can rattle off other films about dreams as an argument that Inception isn't original.

Case in point

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreamscape_%28film%29

It's not claiming to be original. It's just ignorant idiots that are claiming it is.

I do find it odd that people think claiming it's not original is somehow a valid critique of it yet still claim The Dark Knight as being the pinnacle of Nolan's career when any comic book based film is as far from original as it's possible to get in film making (Batman even more so given that it's a sequel and the 6th main Batman film, not including older ones)

Ooooh... pwned... etc.

A lot of the Inception score by Hans Zimmer was performed live for the premiere, it's pretty amazing, check it out - http://incontention.com/?p=26383
