Silver stepped out of the shadows that the inside of the temple built. Her blue eye was hid behind her hair, but her red studied the mighty Doom in all his glory where he walked. She gestured at an open door and towards the depth of a dark corridor.
"The trial Doom wish for does not ask for one property over all other. Remain vigilant, or the temple will consume you like it has to others done before" Silver eyed the man as he entered the depths of the temple. He wouldn't make it. No one ever did. She turned to behold the great gate as it closed, seperating the inside of the temple from the outside once more, as it always did.
"Good luck, stranger. You will need it" Silver uttered as she looked into the corridor Doom had walked down, and as a bolt of lightning she shot through a hole in the roof. They were all over the temple, and was Silvers way of transport.
"Why thank you Caduceus. You'll never surpass me though if you continue to allow laziness to get the best of you. However I am thankful for you being here, despite the fact that your magic could have freed me a long time ago and end these dark times that I lord is enduring. However, no time to talk I will transport you all to the Temple of Avalon. My dear Elizabeth is the guardian there and she is protecting the passage to your final trials. Tell her Merlin said hello and he hopes she is well. Ask her to guide you through the trials because you will need it. Also she answers by the name of Silver."
And without a reply he uses a little of his remaining energy to send them to the temple. Brian walked up to the doors and humbly knocked.
"Hello?! I don't know if anyone is here but I am Sir Brian Braddock of the Captain Britain Corps. Me and my team have been sent here by his majesty King Arthur and Merlin himself. We seek the woman named Silver to help guide us through the trials of Avalon. I beg of your help for all of Avalon is at stake."
As a bolt of lightning, Silver impacted the soil behind the translocated group. She beheld them as she formed into her human self, studying each and every one of them, and their curious outfit "Merlin sent you?" she asked "Very well" and reformed into lightning, passing through the hole in the gate to the temple, and had it open before the group.
Standing on the other side of the opening gates, she gestured the group to step inside "Let's hope you aren't too late. The magnificent one has not yet failed the trials of the temple. Let's pray you will reach the secrets before he does"
Spider-man was about to speak when his Spider-sense went crazy, he jumped back and looked to the side. Hood appeared at their side along with Ashlocke and the Wrecking Crew. Hood ran forward and press on of his hand guns under Silver's chin and the other to her left temple. He began to speak in his raspy tone that showd that Demon within him was beginning to come out.
"Give it to me....Give me the artifact...Now" his hood shoding over his face, his mouth was still visble and his teeth seemed to be morhphing.
Bran and Brian were both caught of guard by the appearance of Hood and his lackeys. This wasn't a place for battle, the temple couldn't be desecrated with violence.
"It's not hers to just give away. If you want it then you have go through the trials like a good boy alright? Now let's put the guns down and talk like grown men."
"Team stand down for now, but be ready to fight if they try to make the wrong move.
Brian and Bran both stood adamant before Hood's gang. They didn't know exactly what Silver was going to do, but they couldn't risk an innocent person getting hurt.
"Your weapon lack a blade, traveler" Silver commented calmly when the guns were pressed against her. Something as little as a flash later and Silver stood beside Hood rather than in front of him as before. She continued then "The treasure you seek is not mine to give. It belongs to the temple and only those that conquer the temple may claim their prize" she said. She took a step before the groups and gestured towards the seperate hallways, each one identical to the others, each one containing what trials all the others did.
"Only the worthy may claim the prize"
Hood grunted and put his weapons away he was being more sensible then normal and agreeing to it since killing her wouldn't help him get what he was after. He ignored his anger and motioned for his men to go in one of the hallways. "ugh, move out to do the said challenges, but even if we lose we will just kill the winners and take it"
Iron Fist stod in his stance ready for anythign that may happen.
Spider-man lifted the bottom of his mask and stuck his tounge out at Wrecker and Hood. Turning around as soon as one noticed him.
Wrecker slowly approaches his boss and slowly pats him on the back.
"Come on boss, let's blow right through these trials of hers and claim what's rightfully yours. We don't need them or the broad. The Wrecking Crew is at your service. I'm sure mutant boy will cooperate as well."
"Are you Silver? Please help us. We have to reach the end first before they do or the world will be doomed.
"Peculiar you should use that word. Some Doom is already working the trials. The temple is popular today. Very well, let's make haste. Heed my words and we will be fine" Silver said, lifting a torch from the wall and gave it to this Sir Brian. She headed towards one of the corridors and asked the rest to follow her with a handgesture.
"Doom...? We must hurry then, as quickly and safely as possible. I put the safety of my team in your hands Madame Silver."
Brian and his team were not only racing against The Hood, but Doom as well and he has already been given a head start. The fate of the world was dependent on their actions and they had no room to falter. Brian lead his team through the corridors and they stood right before the first room.
"I believe we are ready."
"Hey Galaxia, we don't know what tests may lie before us, but if there is something you can do then I promise you I will not hesitate to ask for your help. I'm so glad you're here though with us. Stay close and we'll all make it out of here alive."
This was a huge change for Bran, he was genuinely being nice to someone else for a change.
Silver eyed the group as they had arrived by the first chamber. She raised her head and faced Brian "The first chamber holds the trial of speed. Someone has to reach the other side of this room and pull the lever after the exit quickly, or the room will descend below both entrance and exit, trapping the one inside and lock the trial. You might have the power to free whoever is trapped, but not the time. Choose wisely. Time is of the essence"
Silver opened the door, revealing the gigantic chamber.
Albion and Brian were both fast enough to do this, but Brian wanted to utilize everyone in his team. This was about working together so he trusted the task to another one.
"Hey Spidey, my confidence is a little low now that I know Doom is here thus my speed has been drastically lowered. It doesn't seem like you have enough room to web sling, but do you think you can possibly make it over there?"
Spider-man nodded and looked through the room and then back at the others. He walked a fe steps then stopped as he saw a brown hat on the ground. Looking very similar to the one indiana jones wore he picked it up and placed it on his head. Without a second thought he walked onto the room casuing it to begin to descend. He began running across the floor occasionl doing a flip or two before stopping to pose. Ashe neared the end he realised that his showing off caused him to lose valuable time and in a few seconds would be trapped. He ran as fast as he could and as he got to the end wouldn't be able to fit out, he dove towards it and shot a web out hitting the lever. He pulled it on it and the lever moved down causing the room to get back to it's original postion. Spider-man jumped up and threw his hands in the air
"yea, take that Harrison Ford" he took the hat off and tossed it back to the entrance incase someone else wanted to wear it at a future point in time.
Danny clapped as Spider-man finished "impressive but If you weren't so busy showing off you would have been done faster"
