How long can Godzilla breathe underwater?

Dude, Godzilla can stay underwater as long as he likes. He actually sleeps underwater.

Seriously? Umm, okay... Other than the fact that he's awakened underwater at times in some of his movies, here's a nice quote.

There's no way this Kraken can take down Godzilla, I'm trying to think of ways it can gain an upper hand, and so far, aside from strangulation which would turn out into shit because it's been tried before on him, I can't see this Kraken doing anything to truly hurt Godzilla. Let alone kill him.

The only way I saw Kracken winning was to wrap Godzilla up and drown him, but since Godzilla can breathe underwater, that theory is shot to shit. How strong do you think the Krackens tentacles are? Can they say, hold Godzilla immobile?

Well, the Kraken CAN probably crush a wooden galleon with its tentacles, but Godzilla was able to carry a modern steel ship with his arms, I think.

It doesn't matter, Godzilla's strength feats trump anything the Kraken has ever done. He can break free, nuke free, swim free or flash fry its tentacles.

1) Is larger and probably stronger than a gigantic squid
2) Mouth full of sharp teeth
3) Arms with sharp claws
3) Atomic breath
4) Healing factor
5) Can heat up back spines so hot that they glow red
6) Is an accomplished monster-brawler with a good record under his belt
7) Knows Kung Fu (if all movies are taken into account)

Yeah you gotta answer all challenges in these threads on behalf of the character, no matter how silly the question, everyone has a right to postulate (as long as they can take the ensuing smackdown when the theory/question is a silly one stated as fact...

But Godzilla clearly leaves Kracken wondering why it couldnt remember last night and looking for it's underwear.
