You’re stuck on unbreakable but they probably were before Superman broke them. It also doesn’t matter because we know how strong the metal the chains were made for and they can haul trillions of times stellar weight.
A small number of robots had the entire dc earth defeated while Superman took on and defeated an entire army.

No, it's called common sense. The only destructive power that is actively emitted from a star is it's heat. So as long as an object is able to withstand it's heat, and is strong enough to not break while pulling, it would be able to do that. But being able to break a chain doesn't necessarily mean you can destroy an object that chain is capable of pulling. period
