It's ABSOLUTELY hyperbole, i don't need to dispute it, the comic does it for me already. it was a throwaway act in a book with only one unifying concept: space randomness and overcoming obstacles. The robots may or may not have been made of the metal. And the metal may or may not have been unbreakable. Shit could easily be stupid hyperbole. I mean, he broke it. Fairly easy too. And we see that metal nowhere else.
Any comparative examples? Nope. Any other appearances? Nope. Has anyone faced with a hero ever made a hyperbolic, idiotic, statement that was patently wrong? ALL THE TIME! Y'all are all geeked over how undefeatable some robots are when a page earlier heros clearly state they've been defeating them but it's getting harder. 😂
He said " the robots are stronger" knowing he just saw superman break those chains. Which either
A. Devalues how strong those chains are
Or
B. Devalues again the words and credibility of the villain.
If he says those robots are faster and stronger than him, then that would mean any JL member that takes the robot down would be stronger than superman. And we all know that's not true
In conclusion this guy is OBVIOUSLY using hyperbolic statements to discourage. Not that the things he is saying is actually true. You can deny it or and try to wave it off but given what we seen, there is mountain of evidence youd have to ignore to try and keep the feat. Period
